Cryptocurrencies are the talk of the planet. For those of you who don’t know, a cryptocurrency (crypto), is a method of payment that can flow without requiring central monetary authority such as a government or bank. These methods of payments are cultivated by utilizing cryptographic techniques which authorize consumers to buy, sell or trade them safely.

Crypto can be swapped for goods and services, although for a majority of the time they are treated as an investment vehicle. Nowadays, crypto spans a range of categories, such as: DeFi, NFT, utility tokens, value tokens such as bitcoin and litecoin, among others. Importantly, investing in crypto can be beneficial for travelers, mentioned Peter Klamka, Founder and CEO of MORE Management LLC.

Klamka, who launched MORE in 2016 in New York City, operated bitcoin ATMs in the five boroughs alongside his business partner. The duo converted a Chinese restaurant on 34th Street in Manhattan, which hosted one of their bitcoin machines, into an unofficial crypto nightclub on weekends. Admission for the party entailed purchasing a bitcoin.

These weekend parties were a grand success, so Klamka decided to find a new home for MORE. In 2017, MORE Las Vegas opened its doors, followed by a location in Hollywood in 2018 and the list goes on.  Klamka, along with many others, considered 2020 a research year due to the global pandemic. By late 2020, MORE was making inquiries with agents, brands, and various other celebrities.

I took the time to speak with Klamka further on how MORE provides an exclusive travel experience for members through crypto.

Where do most of your travelers arrive from for MORE events?

Owners come mostly from the East Coast.  Have had members from Asia, Europe and Australia.

What can travelers experience at the events?

Events vary. Sometimes we do pop ups at crypto conventions. Usually with a celebrity or special guest and members get some meet and greet time, photos, or some amazing seats like in the DJ booth or backstage.

Do you plan to expand to other locations? If so, which ones?

We have relationships in Miami and also expect to resume operations in New York at some point…hopefully by the summer. We also have a partnership with a club in London.

What are your thoughts on crypto’s future?

Crypto rewards and payments as well as other contactless solutions are here to stay as we move into the post pandemic world.

What is your goal for traveling with MORE?

Travel is part of the services for our crypto lifestyle members. We speak crypto. No one needs to explain it and it is in our DNA. Other venues might say they “accept bitcoin” but have no idea how it really works or what to do with it.  Our expertise is in seamlessly blending real world hospitality with the emerging crypto community.

What are some of your upcoming packages for members who are traveling?

We have Super Bowl packages available for members in Feb.  We often arrange travel for our crypto members. Sometimes due to our relationships we are able to offer special pricing and/or events and experiences.
