About three months ago, I started telling Eric that things were going to be different this holiday season. No last minute shopping. Less stress. More focus on the actual holiday itself, and no staying up till midnight wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve. . Guys, I don’t know how to avoid last minute shopping. I’m STILL shopping. So, to try and stay on top of SOMETHING, I decided to start wrapping the gifts we currently have.
I am a total sucker for pretty wrapping paper, and I love putting a little extra pizzaz on gifts. If it would be acceptable, every inch of our house would be covered in Christmas greens. To avoid going overboard, I tend to add greens to the gift wrap instead. Everything should look extra pretty during the holidays, right? For the finishing touches, I designed these printable gift tags. You can download them here, and print them on your choice of paper.
I actually borrowed some elements from the invites I designed for the wreath workshop I recently co-hosted. Take a look at the gorgeous details of that party and a quick video of it in this blog post.
Even though I would like to be done wrapping gifts before Christmas Eve, I am guessing we will have a few left for that evening. I do look forward to sharing some wine with Eric after Lydia goes to bed, with A Christmas Story on in the background while we finish everything up. Christmas Eve wouldn’t be the same without those feels.
Happy wrapping! And enjoy the rest of the holidays, from my family to yours.
