Well. Another summer has come and gone. Here’s what I can’t decide: Do I get more excited when summer rolls around or is it really the fall season that steals my heart each year? I know this is weird, but I feel like we are able to slow down as a family once fall hits. Our summers have become so busy that I start to look forward to the end. Fall is just cozy. And even though we may have more get-togethers with friends and family around all of the holidays, life still feels less chaotic.
ANYWAY, what I reeeeeeally love about fall is the amazing transition of trends that takes place. The food we eat and the flavors we use become rich and spicy. The trending color pallet changes in design, clothing and decor. And from now through December, we pull out all the stops when it comes to decorating our spaces, especially when it comes to setting the table. Each occasion is special to me this time of year, so I pulled together this round up to show you guys what I would like to try, read, eat and wear this fall.
The Fall Round Up
STYLE
I love burgundy. It’s one of my favorite parts of my fall wardrobe. But, instead of buying ANOTHER burgundy sweater, I might try a purse in the color instead. A few things I am incredibly excited to see transition from summer into fall: Blush pink, floral prints, distressed denim and ruffles. I really wasn’t ready to let those go once summer officially ended so here’s to embracing the transition with an added layer or two!
HOME & ENTERTAINING
We do plenty of entertaining throughout the summer, but I always tend to take it up a notch once we enter the this season. We host an annual Friendsgiving and join my family for Thanksgiving where I love pull out the nice linens and glassware to add that special touch. Here are a few things that I am loving for fall entertaining and home decor.
RECIPES
There are some recipes I have saved that I can’t wait to whip out. There are also some drool-worthy ones that I have come across online that I am excited to try. Go ahead, give these ones a pin and grab that apron and “fall” right into those seasonal flavors. #worstpunever. If you decide to give one of these recipes a try, let me know what you think!
