An Intimate Autumn Wedding At Marylebone Town Hall In London

Joe and Saskia held their ceremony at the beautiful Marylebone Town Hall early in the afternoon on their wedding day. After saying, “I do”, they met a small group of friends and family at the Swan at the Globe for an intimate dinner and drinks reception – the perfect way to savor the special moments from the ceremony. The following day, they hosted dinner and dancing for 80 people at the Small Beer Brewing Company in Southwark – the perfect combination of classy and laid back.

“We would describe our wedding as the perfect blend of intimate and party atmosphere. We specifically chose to have a small wedding (25 of our closest family and friends) as it was important for us to spend a lot of time with those closest to us on the day and we wanted to have the feel of a family get together.”

The couple chose Marylebone Town Hall due to its charm and location. It is also where Joe’s late parents got married over 40 years to the wedding day, so it was extremely special and sentimental. Swan at the Globe worked perfectly for their reception. Again, chose for its intimacy, there was a beautiful room with one large table for family feasting with amazing view across the Thames of St Pauls and The City. The couple’s favorite memories are walking out onto the steps of the town hall to their friends, passers-by and local traffic, all cheering and honking in celebration. They also took a moment and watched the sun set over The Thames from the balcony of The Swan.

At the local London Brewery, the party atmosphere came to play and it was, “A little quirky which meant we could literally say we organized a piss up in a brewery!” Joe and Saskia loved the larger, feasting menu the brewery offered, which included the best salmon they have ever had! The “his and hers” cocktails were also a favorite and rapidly disappeared. The night ended perfectly during their final three songs that included an impromptu first dance among all their best friends.
