Well guys…Eric and I are officially trying not to freak out. Time has crept up on us and we are feeling the pinch! We have been so busy this summer. Thankfully we don’t have a lot going on in July/August so we can spend some time getting organized for the extra person that will soon be living with us! Here is my baby bump update for week 30!

Baby Bump Update | Week 30
Size: Baby is the size of a zucchini this week! Is around 15.7 inches and is weighing in at a woppin’ 2.89 pounds. She is starting to feel as big as she is…or bigger.
Weight gained: I have steadily gained about a pound each doctors appointment. Around this time with Lydia I started to gain more between appointments so I am interested to see if that happens with this baby as well. This is a comfortable pace for me!
Symptoms: My bathroom trips have increased in frequency again. I don’t have to eat a lot to get full. And I am starting to not sleep well. All things I experienced around this time with Lydia. I wake up during the night for two reasons…actually make that three. One reason could be that I have to use the bathroom, the other could be that I have flipped to my back and it starts to hurt. Lastly, Lydia decides to make a midnight appearance in our bedroom. Luckily that has gone down in frequency! I was getting a little worried about being up with both a toddler and a newborn.
Favorite wardrobe piece to wear right now: The bigger I am getting the harder it is to find things to wear to work. I still am trying to avoid purchasing many maternity pieces as I only have about 10 weeks left. So, I am loving pull on maxi/midi skirts that flow over the bump. They’re super easy for me to pair with different tops and I can stay comfortable without looking too comfortable for work. Check out some of my favorites below!

Nursery update: I just received some samples of the peel-and-stick wall paper and both Eric and I are excited! We LOVE the subtle floral from Chasing Paper that I featured in my girls nursery inspiration post! We are going with that pattern and I can’t wait to get the accent wall measured so we can order. Paint swatches have also been picked out. A warm, but bright white is what we will be going with. Eric is also planning on re-trimming the room with the white we used in Lydia’s nursery. I will be sure to share some updates on Instagram!
Pregnancy related items currently on my purchase list: With Lydia, I did use the Medela breast pump while I was nursing and I loved it! However, I am seriously considering purchasing the new Willow Wearable Breast Pump. I stumbled upon this product while I was going through Instagram. A mom I follow featured it, and I can’t believe how life changing this pump would be. Anything that will give me a little bit more freedom is an A+ product in my book. It has also received great reviews.
One thing I am currently having trouble with: The heat. It is starting to get to me. Honestly, drinking water and lots of it, has been the perfect coping mechanism. I haven’t experienced any swelling and I think that’s why.
Moments I have loved these past few weeks: Lydia is still loving interacting with the baby bump. One thing we had to put a stop to was looking down my shirt to see if she could see the baby!! She “feeds” the baby with a spoon AND a bottle, gives the belly the paci and talks and sings to her baby sister. I LOVE every second of it.
One thing I plan to do for myself this week: We are road tripping back to South Dakota for a family reunion in celebration of my Grandma’s 90th birthday! I am so excited. We need some family time and I can’t wait to watch Lydia play with all of her cousins.
Food cravings: No cravings, but I am still eating more sweets than I usually do when I’m not pregnant. If I am honest with myself, I don’t think that’s really a craving. It’s more about me telling myself, “It’s ok. You’re pregnant. Go ahead and indulge!” I am looking forward to putting more of an effort into healthier eating once the baby arrives.
Currently working on: Relaxing! Spending one-on-one time with Lydia. And trying to get as much one-on-one time with Eric as well. I am anticipating pure chaos with a baby and a toddler so the mental preparation to balance everything is going strong!
