So today marks eleven more days until we are able to find out the baby’s gender! Luckily we have been busy, so the countdown hasn’t felt like an eternity. If you missed it, earlier this week I posted some nursery ideas for a boys room. As promised in that post, I am sharing nursery ideas for a girls room as well. I will admit, I love how well these items play together.
When I started thinking about a girls space, I naturally gravitated towards a look that reminded me of how we decorated Lydia’s nursery. However, I decided I wanted to go a completely different direction, so I went for a vintage garden feel. I definitely do not have any yellow around the house so this is a little outside of my comfort zone. I am loving it for this nursery. There are so many amazing floral patterns out right now and it would be fun to mix and match.

Girls Nursery Ideas
Chandelier. Target recently launched the most amazing home decor line (of course they did) called Opal House. I found so many reasonably priced items within this line for this nursery, and for Lydia’s room make over (post coming soon). This nursery calls for something light and airy, and this is the perfect fit.
Wallpaper. When I saw this girly pattern, I fell in love. I knew I wanted to incorporate a floral statement on a wall in this nursery, but a lot of what is out there right now is really bold. I want to go bold with the other decorative elements in this space, so keeping the paper simple was a must for me. Like the wallpaper from my boys nursery inspo board, it is also from Chasing Paper.
Yellow Pillow. This is also from the Opal House line at Target and I had to add it to this board. The floral pattern gives the nursery that vintage garden touch. I also thought this shade of yellow was beautiful. I wanted to stay away from pastels and this color definitely did the trick.
Crib. This piece was also featured in the outdoor inspired boys nursery inspo board I posted earlier this week. I chose the Hudson Babyletto crib because we will be re-using it from Lydia’s nursery! She is currently been sleeping in the converted version of the crib and has been loving it. Once we get her twin bed frame in, we will transition her into it and move the crib into the nursery…if we ever get it cleaned out of course.
Blush Pink Lace Pillow. This pillow was a no brainer for me. I like to try and pick pieces that my kiddos can grow into so we can re-purpose some decor later on. I love the lace detail that adds just a little bit more of that vintage touch. And blush pink? Who doesn’t love it right now?
Floral Blanket. This color combo is amazing. And it was floral. So how could it not make the list? I also thought that pattern had a botanical feel to it, which totally reinforces this theme.
Botanical Prints. Found these botanical prints on this etsy shop. So sweet and you can buy them as a single print or in a set of four.
Mirror. I thought this mirror with a metal floral frame added texture to the rest of the softer elements of the nursery. The gold pairs well with the rest of the yellow tones. You can find it here at Target for such a reasonable price!
Lantern. I have a few lanterns around Lydia’s room and it adds a real coziness so I want to have at least one in the baby’s nursery as well!
Flower Pot. You can’t have a garden inspired nursery without a flower pot with flowers! Terrain is one of my favorite stores and these aged terracotta pots are one of my favorites too.
Changing Table. One piece of furniture that we will need to purchase for this nursery is the changing table. I thought this one from Pottery Barn had such clean lines, and because this room is one of the smaller ones in the house, I liked the size as well. There is a large walk-in style closet, so most of our storage is there, making it possible to have a smaller changing table.
