In a world saturated with trends, Fallon & Ava has carved out an unexpected niche—luxury turtlenecks. At first glance, it might seem like a bold move to focus exclusively on such a singular garment, but for this brand, the turtleneck is more than just a wardrobe staple. It’s a statement of confidence, elegance, and innovation.

Fallon & Ava’s story begins with a familial tie. The founders grew up wearing turtlenecks, a symbol of their mother’s influence on their style. “Our mother would always dress us in turtlenecks when we were young, so they soon became our signature look,” they share. With that legacy, they saw a gap in the market—a brand specializing solely in turtlenecks—and decided to create Fallon & Ava. Their mission? To elevate the turtleneck from a practical basic into a piece that empowers the wearer.

Now, the brand is launching their most personal design yet—The Victoria, named in honor of their mother and CEO. “She’s the matriarch of our family and our business,” they explain. “Our mother is our muse, embodying the strength, elegance, and timelessness we want this turtleneck to represent.”

But The Victoria is far from just another luxury item. It’s an international work of art, crafted in Tuscany and hand-embroidered by third-generation artisans in Mumbai. Fallon, with her background in embroidery design, formed a personal connection with these artisans, and the collaboration reflects the beauty of global craftsmanship. “This piece has literally traveled across the world and back, touched by so many different hands of diverse talents and backgrounds,” they say. “That’s one of the main things that makes it so special.”

The turtleneck itself is a marvel of design, incorporating the brand’s patented “bow” design, which allows for embroidery on the neck—a feat previously impossible with traditional turtleneck construction. “Embroidery on the neck of a knit turtleneck is unheard of,” they note. “The adjustable neck in our bow design changes that.” This innovation not only transforms the classic silhouette but also elevates the turtleneck into a realm of high art and couture craftsmanship.

And speaking of high art, Fallon & Ava’s collaboration with iconic photographer Mark Seliger is yet another layer of creative synergy. Their encounter with Seliger feels like a quintessential New York moment—serendipitous and inspiring. “We met Mark in our apartment building’s gym. He was there every morning at 7 a.m., just like us, and over time, we became friends,” they recall. What started as morning workout camaraderie eventually blossomed into a creative partnership. When Fallon & Ava decided to create an editorial version of The Victoria, they knew Seliger was the only photographer who could bring their vision to life. “His photos stop you in your tracks. They make you feel something,” they explain. “That’s the impact we wanted for The Victoria.”

Seliger, known for his ability to tell stories through his camera lens, captured the essence of this modern yet timeless piece. His signature style—classic studio portraiture with an edge—reflects the duality of The Victoria: a turtleneck that is both regal and rebellious, feminine and powerful. It’s a visual narrative that transcends fashion and enters the realm of art.

Living in New York, Fallon & Ava find themselves continually inspired by the city’s energy and the people it brings together. “Some of the best things that have happened to us in life and business have been serendipitous moments of meeting someone at the right place and right time,” they reflect. Their collaboration with Seliger is one of those magical moments—an intersection of fashion, art, and friendship that feels uniquely New York.

As Fallon & Ava continue to explore new ways to innovate with their turtleneck designs, The Victoria stands as a testament to their brand’s ethos: timelessness meets innovation, all wrapped in the elegance of a perfectly crafted turtleneck. “This is only just the beginning,” they tease, hinting at future collaborations and styles. With the kind of artistry, craftsmanship, and vision behind The Victoria, it’s clear Fallon & Ava are only scratching the surface of what’s possible.

For Fallon & Ava, the turtleneck isn’t just a piece of clothing—it’s a canvas for creativity, a symbol of strength, and a reminder that sometimes, the simplest pieces can make the boldest statements.
